About Cindy Schwan

Cindy is a graduate of the Bachelor of Science (Agriculture) program from the University of Guelph.  Prior to establishing C. Schwan Educational Services, Cindy worked for many years at the University of Guelph where she was involved in pesticide research, including areas related to pesticides and the environment and pesticide applicator exposure.  Cindy also has extensive teaching experiences in courses related to pesticide safety, pest management and pesticides in the environment. 

About the Course Offerings

The courses offered through C. Schwan Educational Services will prepare you to write the Ontario Ministry of the Environment Pesticide Certification Exams.  Courses are available to those wishing to write exams for  Landscape, Structural, Fumigation, Agriculture, Mosquito Biting Fly, Aquatic Vegetation, Industrial Vegetation, and Forestry certification. 

Courses are taught over a five day period, so that applicants have time to complete assignments and homework.  This will help the student be successful in the examination. New and experienced pesticide applicators will benefit from these courses. In addition to preparing students for the Pesticide Applicators’ Certification Exam, this course will enhance your overall understanding of pesticides and their use. 

Custom Course Offerings 

C. Schwan Educational Services is pleased to offer private course offerings for groups of 5 or more students at your location.  It is important that these courses be arranged well in advance as the teaching schedule fills up quickly.

Our Guarantee

Students who are not successful in their attempt at the Ministry exam may return for more instruction for no further cost if they have fully attended a previous course.
